UtilMesh does not require account registration and is designed to process tool input locally in the browser where possible. Many file-based tools run client-side so uploaded files do not need to be sent to an application server.

The site may use privacy-conscious analytics, including Cloudflare Web Analytics, to understand visits, popular pages, device types, and aggregate usage patterns. These analytics are used to improve the tools and content.

AI-powered tools may use third-party services such as AI Horde and Puter.js. In community mode, prompts and generated images are processed by volunteer AI Horde workers and may be shared publicly. In Puter mode, prompts are sent to Puter and its selected AI provider. Free HD image and free video requests pass through a protected UtilMesh server route to an external AI generation service. Service credentials, model configuration, and provider API endpoints are not exposed to the browser. After a result is ready, its provider-hosted image or video URL is returned to the browser for direct preview and browser-side download; media bytes do not pass through UtilMesh, and the provider's storage domain may therefore be visible. If a provider does not allow browser-side file access, the preview can still be saved with the browser's native “Save as” action. UtilMesh does not intentionally retain prompts or generated files, but the external generation service processes them and may retain data under its own policies. Do not submit private or personal content to AI generation tools. If you add a reference image to a video request, the browser sends it to a protected UtilMesh server route. The route validates the file, converts it to a temporary Base64 data URI in request memory, and sends it to the video provider without intentionally saving it in R2, on disk, or in a database. The provider processes the image under its own policies and may retain it.
